Best Christmas Present Ever

So Rusty and I had a fabulous Christmas. I got to have my Mom, Dad and Sister here in Caldwell for Christmas and my son has made it to three weeks old. It was a great Christmas present for us. Rusty and I decided way back in November that we wouldn't buy anything for ourselves this year because we were getting the best present on earth. Russell has certainly changed our world a lot. He hasn't quite figured out that we sleep at night and are awake in the day. Which has left Rusty and I in a zombie state. We decided to try and keep him awake during the day with naps spaced out. It has somewhat worked to allow us to get some sleep. Instead of him being awake from 10pm to 4am he gets to "play" for 4 hours or so in the day. For example, our little man is getting a lesson in football from dad on the floor while dad is trying to keep the monkey awake tonight while we watch the bowl games.

Because my dad works so hard at his job and cows don't feed themselves it is a rare occasion to have my dad out to Boise. I was thrilled that he was able to come when Russell was born even though they headed right back after the next day so when we got him from Friday to Sunday I was so excited. Christmas day dinner we had a ham and then before they left we had a rib roast dinner which my mom had brought along with her awesome cheesecake and banana cream pie.

Faith also stayed in Boise I think it was really nice for her to snuggle with her nephew and hang with the family.

We opened up all our presents including Russell's he got pretty spoiled with some newborn toys from Grandma and Grandpa, Nonnie and Papa, and Aunt Faith and an awesome and adorable outfit from his Aunt Amy, Uncle Mike, and cousins.

We are excited for the New Year, Russell will be 1 month old and we can't believe how much he has all ready changed.
