May, June and July
May, June, and July months were filled with Russell and I adjusting to not having Daddy and then getting Daddy closer to us.
In May, Rusty and I celebrated our 8th Wedding anniversary. It is hard to believe that we have been married for 8 years and known each other for 11 years. Interesting enough we now share our wedding anniversary with Case Martin my cousin Amanda's first born son. Another rather scary event was Russell pulling his first emergency room visit. I had taken him to daycare and received a call about 2pm indicating that Russell had a very high fever and that I needed to come get him. Before I even got to the daycare I received another call from the daycare asking me to meet them at the door. Hob, the director, met me at the front to tell me Russell had a seizure, that he was okay but, that I needed to be prepared. We were very blessed a Dr. from St Lukes was picking up his daughter from daycare and had stopped to help. Scaried me to death but, once we were at the hospital we discovered an ear infection and a 103 fever. What Russell had was a febral seizure which is actually common when someones fever jumps at a fast rate. He went from 99 to 103 in about 30 minutes. After he got some fever reliever, antibotics and some TLC +sleep he was doing much better.
In June, Russell decided to show his danger baby artistry by falling at the park and busting out his tooth. So after a trip to the dentist to make sure that he didn't push the tooth up into his gumb we now have a toothless boy. Sadly it will be several years before he gets a new tooth in the front. But, I guess it gives hime character. In June, Rusty also got a job working for the Chobani Factory being built in Kimberly, which was wonderful because he could be close for the delivery of the baby and he could come home on the weekends. Russell was so excited to see Daddy when he came home he wouuld run around like a crazy boy every time before finally coming up and hugging his Dad.
In June we also go to have Linda and Russ for a few days. We chose not to tell them that Rusty would be coming home that weekend as a surprise. They were very excited.
In July, Faith came up to help me paint the girls room. She did a great job helping me and I thought it turned out really cute.
