This fall three of my fellow colleagues and myself will be graduating with degrees. To honor our little band of graduates our office brought in a beautiful cake. Check it out! Congradulations out to Karen, Rhosan and Susan Woohooo!
So it is time to revive this blog. I have not used it in several, and I mean several years. Solely do to life and the fact that I didn't think I had the time. Well no more. I think I need to have a venue to share with you all our current pictures and life. I don't really like to do it on Facebook all that much. So with that... it's alive! No better time then now right? It is the week of July 23rd, Rusty and I and our three energetic kids are having a great time with the Colburn clans in Newport Beach, CA. We arrived here, by plane yesterday and have already basked in the glow of the beach and the condos we are staying in. While the flight was quite early the kids did great, one might think they had fun. With good food and fellowship you can't really go wrong. We took the opportunity to celebrate Linda and Russ's 50th, yeah I said it, 50th Anniversary which will be in December. We dined at a fabulous restaurant Sellebello, thank you Heather for finding the l...
I know that January is not over yet but I thought that I would get out some fun pictures we have of Russell. So he has been going to the Children's Center at Boise State University since August. I personally think he is thriving there as he is learning how to play with others and what it means to share. He always seems to be having a pretty good time when I go and pick him up. But, he is always happy to see me to which makes it even better. There are some pictures in this batch of him experimenting with food based paint (I think the chocolate was his favorite) and going to the library with his class. I also found some rather hilarious moments in the car with an Fred Meyer ad and when we took him to Sockey for lunch. We got him a meal from their kids menu which he tried to devour in minutes (Kid loves cheese, carbs, and meat) so the chicken quesadilla was a hit. He tried an onion and made a pretty funny face. He is such a ham. It's getting harder to take his picture because he ...
For the first time in months I have a little time to catch up on my blog. I am proud to say that I at least had all of the pictures loaded I just need to get them in Russell's photo book. August , September , October , November , and December was very busy. At work I had new job duties and a new Unit to be a part of while Rusty attended school full time for the first time in a really long time. He did a great job. He diligently went to all of his classes and studied. He even successfully passed part two of Elmentary Spanish after being out of 101 for over 10 years. Russell has grown and grown. He gets a little belly and not a week later its gone and he has grown again. He turned 1 year old in December and Rusty and I couldn't believe how much he had changed. We went to Blackfoot for Christmas and got to spend some time with my mom and dad, and Faith. I wished we would have had some snow for Russell to play with at the time but, we just got it late this year.
