San Diego Trip - Part 2 MCAS = Miramar
The second part of Tuesday we went to the Miramar Marine Corps Air Station and had lunch at the Officers Club. We then followed our guide Captain Rob "Cow Bell" Dickens to the F18 Similation center. I got to fly the similator (which I was too short for) with the help of Dman and one of the flight students. I also successfully landed the F18 on to a carrier with a lot of help. Apparently I will not be a fighter pilot you have to be 5'5' to fly in the Hornets.
We also got to go out to the hanger and see the Hornets in person and see several parts of the program. Several jets landed, took off, and refueled. It was a very exciting experience.
